WARM WELCOME IN GUATEMALA: CCST member Jim Ryan is surrounded by welcoming youngsters upon his arrival January 14, 2009 in the village of La Morena, near Chiquimulilla in the Diocese of Santa Rosa. He was there as part of a planning delegation that helped set the agenda for what promises to be a very active 2009 partnership year.



PROJECT SUPPORT UPDATE


CCST reps help dedicate chapel/cyclone center in India -- CCST members John Schweska and Bob McLaughlin returned from India February 28 with Fr. Raj Susaimanickam for the dedication of a chapel and cyclone center in the Nagapattinam parish village of Melakarairruppu. 80 very poor families live in the village, which is four kilometers from the nearest road. The dedication is the latest milestone in the work between CCST and the Diocese of Thanjavur since the south Asian tsunami in 2004.
